Os resultados de nossos exames sobre as possibilidades plásticas do concreto encorajaram-nos a estender os experimentos que conduzimos a um campo além do design de objetos utilitários. Depois de avaliar modos de transpor nossos próprios limites, concluímos pela criação da Galeria Traço: uma plataforma de contato com artistas dispostos a realizarem pesquisas e trabalhos que envolvam, em qualquer grau, o material que tem sido explorado por nossa equipe tanto do ponto de vista técnico quanto de desenho.
Não há justificativa melhor para a existência dessa plataforma do que a possibilidade de alavancarmos trabalhos de arte – de forma exclusiva ou eventualmente cruzada com design – pela soma de pesquisas oriundas de campos diversos de conhecimento e atuação. Por essa proposta, afirmamos nossa crença na arte como meio de criação direcionado por parâmetros e regras específicos, e que não exclui possíveis convergências com nossas operações com o concreto, no que diz respeito à materialidade e significado das obras.
Consideramos esse passo como importante em nossa missão de reavaliar o lugar do concreto na lista de materiais à mão da sociedade e suas manifestações culturais e artísticas. Aqui vamos expor os resultados de convergências de trabalhos de diferentes linguagens com nossas próprias pesquisas.
